AC Tech Student Scholarship Corpus Fund

Dear Friend,

All of us finished our B.Tech/ M.Tech/ Ph.D courses in AC Tech. Some batches will be celebrating the golden jubilee or silver jubilee of graduating out of AC Tech. Looking back, we all are beneficiaries from this Institution, and it is time that we collectively gave back something to our Alma-Mater.

Our AC Tech Alumni Association is very keen to provide a corpus fund to educate about 25 worthy students every year. A corpus of Rs.10 lakhs is needed per student per year, which would give say Rs.50,000 per annum. We need an annual corpus of Rs.2.5 crores for 25 students every year. Since B.Tech course is for four years, we need an overall corpus of Rs.10.0 crores in the next 4 years to sustain this on a permanent basis.

It is my earnest request that over the next 4 years we should raise this Rs.10 lakhs per year from each batch and place this corpus amount with our Alumni Association. Rs.10 lakhs per annum is not a daunting number if each of our batchmates contributes Rs.10,000/-. We know in reality that everybody will not contribute and therefore my request is that you please contribute whatever you can, over the next 4 years starting this year. Any amount from Rs.10,000 to Rs.1 lakh or above would be welcome. This money can come from you, your friend or any Trust or company controlled by you. This can also be part of a CSR fund since ACTAA is qualified under CSR guidelines to receive such amounts. Your contribution will receive income tax benefit under Section 80G of the IT Act.

I enclose a form which you may fill in and return at your earliest convenience, indicating your support not just this year, but over the next four years as well.

I will keep briefing you on the batchwise progress we are making in this regard periodically so that you get reminded about your contribution in case you are yet to make it.
